A mama's message

Working with Corey, the mama and maker behind Na Wahine Lole has been a perfect fit. She created her business as a legacy for her daughter, and is fighting fast fashion and body image, one beautiful hand-made swimsuit at a time.

Corey struggled with body dysmorphia and the fact certain bikini brands didn't fit her made feel like she wasn't good enough. She bravely decided to conquer her insecurities and embrace her body by making bathing suits that made her feel good in her own skin. She ethically sources all her fabrics within the United States, using prints from artists all over the world, embracing different backgrounds and cultures.

I love her words on her website, "To me, my brand is symbolic of what it means to be a mana wahine (woman of strength), women who collectively come together for the greater good." What a beautiful legacy, not only for Corey's daughter, but for all of ours.
